Camping at Fort Worden State Park - Port Townsend, WA

Daisy felt a bit inferior next to all the ginormous RVs!!

A trick that Nancy from Easton Park Campground taught us!
Warms the cracker and melts the chocolate.....

 Point Wilson Lighthouse

My boy, shining like the sun....as always...

Me and my baby girl at sunset...

The kids got to feed the Sea Urchin some kelp, the Seastars got clams and the crabs got fish heads...The Marine Science Center is very cool!

Point Wilson Lighthouse..they say it's haunted....

 Daisy ready for bed

The next morning, I had a GREAT paddling experience on the Admiralty Inlet

Here are just a couple of my favorites from the Rosly Vintage Trailer Rally.... They were amazing....

I recently found these photos from my childhood. These photos were taken in the late 1960's - early 19'70's. I loved this trailer...we went everywhere in our Rambler Station Wagon, towing the trailer behind us. Soooooo many memories.....

My brother Steve, my mom and me....
My parents house in Ocean Shores before they fixed it up and
before they sold our trailer for..(gasp!) $100!!!!!
Hanging out at Grandpa Clerico's in California
A trip to Mount Rainier - Mom, me (looking kind of mutant with that large head) and my brother Steve. Dad was the photographer...always....
I put this one in to show that I finally grew into my head. This was taken at Neah Bay - the furthest most northern tip of the continental United States. We recently took our kids there. It's beautiful!!!

Daisy gets attacked by huge tree branch

Well, this was a VERY sad day. A freak, very fast moving storm came through a couple weeks ago and a very large tree limb fell onto Daisy's roof, bounced off and ended up on the propane tank. The impact crunched the frame and broke some of the wood. I patched the roof line so she doesn't leak at all but it's a bummer. Some day, I'll have her fixed but for now, she is towable and useable.....

A sad day for Daisy indeed......

From Dark, Diner Shirley to Sunny, Shasta Daisy!

My daughter insisted that we change Shirley's name to Daisy. It really fits her now that she is sunny and bright. I liked the red but felt it was a bit dark. It seemed more 50's..like Laverne and Shirley days..(hence the name Shirley)  We had to take most of her down to the studs so why not make her exactly the way I want her!! And for those of you cringing because I painted the beautiful birch....My deepest apologies. Not all the birch needed to be replaced and in order for it to match (new shellac to almost 50 year old shellac) we would have had to replace alllll the birch. That's way to much $$ in labor, so she's painted a beautiful Cottage White by Behr. I love the combo of paint and stained birch.....

Check out her New sunny upholstery by Marco at Expo Interior Upholstery in Kirkland, WA

NOW she's happy and sunny!

New daisy curtains (I made em myself, thankyouverymuch)

And a new sign for Daisy. Pretty much sums it all up.

Bye bye Shirley!!

Well, I did as much "healing" of Shirl's diseases as I could...with my lack of time, and our local HOA (can't park trailers in the driveway) and, oh..my lack of remodel skillz, I did some research and found the best trailer remodel dude on the west coast. Brian Morrow of Bonney Lake....

Here's Brian's cool old truck, towing Shirley to his trailer hospital. (I had removed the wings to polish them up! In case you were wondering...)
The floor had to be replaced due to soft spots and rot
 New Sub Flooring
Birch replaced!
Down to the studs which were rotted and falling apart

More new birch!

The birch cabinets were restained with shellac (and a new bunk was built in back) We also installed a dorm fridge. My kids eat and I needed a real fridge so the ice chest had to go.

Marmoleum Floor - LOVE LOVE LOVE!

New shellac and paint! And you can kind of see the boomerang laminate on the sliders to the right...
Bright and sunnier! Almost.....
I love the red and yellow..but still wanted MORE yellow!

Cleaning up Shirley

All the drawers are out for sanding

There's the beautiful birch, under the sticky 50 year old shellac job

The before and after sanding pics
